The Office of Rural Health Policy announces the availablity of funding to organizations to support the Rural Health Research Centers (RHRCs) Cooperative Agreement Program. Recipients of cooperative agreements will establish RHRCs which conduct and disseminate policy-relevant health services research on issues of national significance with a specific topic of concentration (e.g., Medicare, health workforce, uninsured). The awards will be for a 4-year project period.

Targeted Rural Health Research Grant funding is available. Recipients of grants will conduct and disseminate policy-relevant research on issues of national significance in the area of rural health services as they relate to the following topic areas: Rural Health Clinics, Rural Hospital Leadership, Frontier Health Service Delivery, and Rural Health Workforce. Approximately $450,000 is expected to be available to fund up to three new awards, with a maximum amount per award of $150,000.
