Grants to Rural Providers

State Programs

These grants are aimed at expanding access to, coordinating, restraining cost of, and improving the quality of essential health care in rural areas. For information on what areas are eligible for Rural Health Grants see Geographic Eligibility for Rural Health Grant Programs.

State Programs

The Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) promotes State and local empowerment to meet rural health needs in several ways: by supporting State Offices of Rural Health, by encouraging the formation of State Rural Health Associations, and by working with a variety of State agencies to improve rural health.

  • The FLEX CAH HIT Network grant is to provide funds to support the development of a Flex CAH-HIT Network pilot programs in States receiving the grant.
