Project Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to provide treatment and rehabilitation services to Black Lung Disease patients and patients with other occupationally acquired respiratory illnesses.

Project Service Area:
This project serves all the coal mining counties of southwest Virginia (Lee, Scott, Wise, Buchanan, Dickenson, Russell, Tazewell) and the neighboring counties of Smyth and Washington.  In addition to the Virginia service area, the clinics often provide services to the coal mining residents of bordering counties and states, especially those of West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee.
