Project Purpose:
The purpose of the KEYA Program is to reduce overweight and obesity in order to prevent diabetes development and improve the health status of those with diagnosed diabetes.

Project Service Area:
The target population is rural Lakota American Indians living off reservations.  These clients are served at South Dakota Urban Indian Health clinics in Aberdeen and Pierre.
